Terms of service

Last updated 1 March 2025.

1. Who we are

Gorilla Media ("Gorilla Media", "we", "us") is an outdoor advertising and signage company operating from Cape Town, South Africa. These terms govern your use of this website and any quotation, rental or works agreement that references them.

2. Website content

Billboard listings, traffic counts, sizes and rates shown on this site are indicative and provided for planning purposes. Traffic figures are drawn from municipal and road-agency averages and may vary.

Availability changes daily. A site is only reserved once we have issued a written booking confirmation and received the agreed deposit.

3. Quotations and pricing

Quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise and exclude VAT, print and production unless expressly included.

Prices assume normal site access during standard hours. Night work, road closures, traffic accommodation, cranes or specialised access are quoted separately.

4. Billboard rentals

Rental periods run in calendar months and begin on the confirmed flight start date. Artwork must reach us in the specified format at least five working days before flight start.

We may temporarily take a face out of service for structural, electrical or statutory work. Where downtime exceeds 48 consecutive hours, we credit the affected days pro rata.

5. Signage manufacture and installation

Lead times begin once artwork, colour references and a signed order are approved in writing.

The client is responsible for confirming landlord consent, wall integrity and available electrical supply, unless we have quoted for a survey covering these items.

Manufactured signage carries a 12-month workmanship warranty. Structural billboard builds carry a 12-year structural warranty, subject to scheduled maintenance.

6. Permits and compliance

Where we lodge outdoor advertising applications on your behalf, approval remains at the discretion of the relevant municipality or road authority. Application fees are for the client account and are not refundable if an application is declined.

7. Advertising content

You warrant that you hold the rights to all artwork supplied and that it complies with South African advertising, consumer protection and by-law requirements. We may decline or remove content that is unlawful, misleading or likely to place a site permit at risk.

8. Payment

Unless credit terms are agreed in writing, rentals are payable monthly in advance and works are payable 50% on order and the balance on handover. Overdue amounts attract interest at the prescribed rate.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability arising from any agreement is limited to the value of the fees paid for the affected site or works. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit or campaign value.

10. AI assistant

The AI assistant on this site provides general guidance only. Its answers are not quotations, availability confirmations or permit advice, and should not be relied on as such.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
